Recently, the Geeks and God Podcast and the Christian Web Masters combined in the new Geeks and God Community. This new community site includes the community from the Geeks and God podcast as well as the forums from Christian Web Masters in a new site and combined community.

The Christian Web Masters community had been a thriving and supportive community for a long time. Recently, Sean Buscay, the man behind CWM, and his wife had been going through some rough times due to her diagnosis with breast cancer. In an effort to keep the CWM community going and remove the burden from Sean it was decided to merge the G&G community with CWM.

We welcome you to our new combined community and ask you to keep Sean and his wife in your prayers.

Message From Sean Buscay

For awhile now I have been leaning towards passing on the ministry of Christian Web Masters.com and the forums.

I've let it linger in limbo for way too long. The forums are still fairly active, but not as they used to be.

Our forum leaders are great. Many have been here for years.

I strongly considered giving the CWM site to a team of its current leaders.

However, after much prayer, I have come to think the whole site needs some one or two to lead the community in a new and fresher direction.

Many of you already know Matt Farina and Bob Christenson from their website and podcasts at http://geeksandgod.com/

Knowing they have a major ministry currently very active in Christian web site development, I contacted them to ask their interest in becoming the new shepherds of CWM.

Providentially, they had already begun the planning for their new website and community forums on their Geeks and God site.

We three felt it would be a perfect time to bring our two communities together into a new and greater community in Christian web development.

Knowing that we needed the forums community together on one site, and that Matt and Bob would manage that site, we have initiated a move and integration of our forums (including users and topics) into their new forums to be launched on Dec 1 at http://geeksandgod.com/.

As of this past Friday (see below as to why I failed to give advanced notice) I provided Matt and Bob with a snapshot of our forum. They will work from this snapshot to launch the new forums.

In the meantime, feel free to keep posting here on CWM. Just know that newer topics will not make it over to the new community site.

I will soon redirect CWM pages to Geeks and God.

As you are a wonderful community, especially our long term mentors and forum moderators, you all deserve some explanation as to why I did not provide more information earlier and why I did not coordinate with everyone on this move.

Though not an excuse, I hope providing you with the following context might help you to forgive me for anything lacking in this migration.

For the past 2 months Lisa (my wife) and I have been dealing with her diagnosis of an aggressive breast cancer. We have been consumed with hospitals, surgeries, and all the other concerns which arise in this type of situation.

Lisa’s prognosis is now quite good. Great even. Glory to God.

It has been a roller coaster ride though. Two more surgeries and God willing, that’s it.

So I just wanted to let you know that I honestly hoped to be more proactive and work within the community during this migration. However, as circumstances would have it, I have just been able to keep supporting my wife, my kids, and maintaining the best I can with work.

Thank God for Matt and Bob, who emerged as two new leaders to inherit CWM.

I pray God’s continued blessings on this community and on your individual ministries.
